The same view, by the same artist but in different media!
This first is oil on canvas. A typical painting by Crispin Heesom, and one of his favourite subjects - Bridge Street in Kings Cliffe. The frame is hand painted in 2 tones of grey which gives the picture more 'space' than the more usual single colour frame.
The second, is a watercolour, simply mounted in ivory with an oak frame. The style is typically Crispin's, but the medium less so. I do admire the way so much feeling and character can be expressed with just black, white and shades of grey.
