Just seen a couple of dogs playing in the snow outside so I thought I'd post some doggy portraits in their honour.
This is 'Megan', beautifully drawn in pastels by Fiona Dale. I love the warm coloured paper she has chosen.
The paler, but still warm champagne coloured mount and the grey distressed frame which shows the honey coloured wood underneath complete the picture.
Here we have 'Merlin and Arturo' painted by Alison Nicholls. 'Arturo' is Italian for 'Arthur' - I don't know if the dog is Italian. Simply mounted in soft white and framed in oak the eyes of the dogs meet yours across the room. Why do dogs have such doleful eyes?
And finally, 'Fraser', another drawing by Fiona Dale. This time mounted in warm ivory and framed in a grey & ivory distressed moulding which matches the wiry hair of Fraser.
