End of term brought a flurry of activity with a lot of work for the Old Brewery Studio's summer exhibition (http://www.oldbrewerystudios.co.uk) - hence no June post! I am constantly amazed at the quality of the art works created by local people - such talent!
So now the summer holiday's are upon us and this month's picture is of that favourite holiday spot Polperro in Cornwall.
Painted by S. Gentle, it has been framed in a lightly distressed green frame with an off white sightline. When framing an oil painting, or anything else that doesn't require a mount, I like the separation the sightline gives between the picture and the frame, and the green tones well with the trees and seaweed on the foreshore and even echoes the style of the brush strokes. Very pleasing!
